കോഴിക്കോട്: ഊബര്‍ ടാക്‌സിയില്‍ കയറിയ തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നേരെ ലൈംഗികാതിക്രമം നടത്തിയെന്ന സ്ത്രീകളുടെ പരാതിയില്‍ ഡ്രൈവറെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത് പോലീസ്. കോഴിക്കോട് പൊറ്റമ്മലിലുള്ള സ്‌കൈലൈന്‍ ഫ്‌ളാറ്റില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന ശിഹാബി നെയാണ് കസബ പോലീസ് പിടികൂടിയത്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയാണ് കേസിനാസ്പദമായ സംഭവം നടന്നത്. ചുങ്കത്തറ സ്വദേശിയായ പരാതിക്കാരിയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് കോട്ടൂളിയില്‍ നിന്നും കോഴിക്കോട് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോകാനായി ശിഹാബ് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന ഊബര്‍ ടാക്‌സിയില്‍ കയറുകയായിരുന്നു.

എന്നാല്‍ യാത്രക്കിടയില്‍ ശിഹാബ് പരാതിക്കാരിയോട് അപമര്യാദയായി സംസാരിക്കുകയും കോഴിക്കോട് കൈരളി തിയേറ്ററിന് സമീപം എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ഇവരുടെ ശരീരത്തില്‍ കയറി പിടിച്ച് ലൈംഗീകാതിക്രമം കാണിക്കുകയും എതിര്‍ത്ത പരാതിക്കാരിയെയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയും പീഡിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും വണ്ടി നിര്‍ത്തിച്ച് പുറത്ത് ഇറങ്ങിയ ഇവര്‍ക്ക് നേരെ അശ്ലീല ആംഗ്യം കാണിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് പോലീസിന് നല്‍കിയ മൊഴിയില്‍ പറയുന്നത്.

പരാതി ലഭിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കസബ പോലീസ് കേസ് റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്യുകയും ശിഹാബിനെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു. കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കിയ ഇയാളെ റിമാന്റ് ചെയ്തു.

After receiving complaint Kasaba police registered case and took Shihab into custody. He was produced in court and remanded.
